i need to preface this first part with this.. there is a little carnival of sorts set up in the parking lot of the mall by us. every time we drive by it, hayden says, 'mommy i want to go on the big blue "feer-us" wheel!' well, he wanted to go on saturday night but, since we were too tired, we told him that it would be more fun if we went after church during the day because then he would have more time there. he responded by informing us (and this is almost word for word) that if we went after church during the daytime, it would be light out... (makes sense) and that if we went when it was light out that we wouldn't be able to see all the colorful lights!! haha told you!, he finished!
so on sunday evening we took our kids to the carnival. hayden was so excited. if i had known what it would have been like before we arrived, we would never have gone. i was scared. the crowd there was.. scary, to say the least. there were kids walking around smoking black and milds.. oh well. hayden had fun and we got such cute pictures of him!

on actual memorial day, we spent the day with our friend jen and her family. her son noah and hayden had such a fun time playing together! we had a cookout, played outside, and had a generally relaxing day enjoying the warm weather!
